In 2021, we have returned to offer our two fabulous stair climbing routes to challenge and enchant racers, urban hikers, and laid back sightseers.
The 7-mile race is competitive with female and male age categories and overall female and male finishers' awards. You will traverse five historic staircases and two challenging hills over this course. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals will be awarded to those placing in their age groups. Overall male and female finisher will receive a special award and bragging rights forever. Though the 7-mile event is competitive, hikers are welcome and will enjoy a fabulous stroll through our historic downtown, on the Freedom Trail by Fall River, and through the historic campuses of the Veterans Administration and the State Veterans Home.
The 3-mile fun run is non-competitive with the exception of overall male and female finishers. Runners and hikers will climb two staircases over the scenic 3-mile route. The 3-mile route showcases our historic downtown, the Freedom Trail along Fall River, and the campus of the Veterans Administration which is a National Historic Landmark.
The community will be treated to an Oktoberfest gathering the evening of the race with music and food offered! All CHS participants are invited to the party. Music is free! A ticket for food will be included with registration. A long sleeve t-shirt is included in the entry fee.
(And just so you know: no bib transfers, no pets, and no strollers.)
